Chloe Louise Brisson

Vocalist // SONGWRITER // MUSIC EDUCATOR

Born in the mountains of New Hampshire, Chloe Louise was raised on a constant stream of jazz, blues, folk, and rock music. As a young musician she was particularly drawn to jazz, studying under mentors such as Sheila Jordan, Ralph Peterson, Dominique Eade and others. After nearly 15 years of intense jazz study and attendance at both the New England Conservatory and the Global Jazz Institute, Brisson experienced a shift in interest towards other genres of music and began to explore a more singer-songwriter oriented creative practice. Spurred on by her 2019 artist residency experience in Svalbard, Chloe was inspired to redefine her musical path and the ways in which she could further deepen and demonstrate her love of storytelling through music. This shift also included pursuing more diverse experiences outside of music, resulting in a 3-year stretch in which Brisson worked in the woods of Vermont. During this period Chloe continued to play and compose music, incubating a sound and voice that is now re-emerging as she steps back into her path and identity as a musician.

Currently, Chloe lives in Burlington, VT and teaches and performs throughout the Vermont region.
